“Are there social network groups, study groups, focus groups, and support groups for non-traditional students?”

The Non-Traditional Students Club is a great way to meet other non-traditional students. They have a club list serv, bi-monthly Friday afternoon gatherings at a local restaurant, and other social events through-out the year. Their website is listed under Helpful Resources.

“How can I meet other non-traditional students?”

The RAL Lounge is located in Lory Student Center, Main Level, across from the Sunken Lounge. This is a great venue for connecting with other non-traditional students. RAL offers several events that are free and open to everyone. Visit our calendar of events to learn about upcoming activities.

“How can I meet other students who are parents”

Check out the Students Over Traditional Age (SOTA) and the Students With Children electronic conversational groups on RamPoint! To access either group:
  • log on to CSU’s web portal, RamPoint at http://rampoint.colostate.edu.
  • Log in using your CSU e-name and e-password (what you use to log into your CSU email address).
  • Then click on the “groups” icon in the upper right corner of your screen.
  • Click on “Groups Index” and then select “social”. You will see a list of social groups, including SOTA and Students with Children. To belong to either group, you just need to click on the group name and click “Join Now.” Group members are screened by the Office of Off-Campus Student Services / Resources for Adult Learners in order to ensure the group remains a manageable size.
