Jan Rastall

Assistant Director, Adult Learner Programs
Hi, I'm Jan Rastall, Assistant Director in Off-Campus Student Services/Resources for Adult Resources. Did you know that we're here to support any student who feels they don't fit the typical post high school student profile? Non-traditional students, adult students and adult learners are terms used inter-changeably for students who have been out of school for an extended period of time and who might struggle with a variety of issues ranging from transitioning back to college, financing their education, finding childcare or finding support from their family while in school. These students account for roughly 17% of the undergraduate student population at Colorado State. Connecting with other students who share similar issues can help these students feel they're not alone. The lounge in Room 195, Lory Student Center, on the north end of the building above the transit center exists for such a purpose. Here, you will meet students who are paying their way through college, caring for a family, working full or part time or are starting school at a later age. I have a M.Ed. from Colorado State University and have worked in the adult education field for over 15 years. Please stop by so we can get to know you!
